Stop the Spread of COVID-19 with the No-Touch Sigma Café

From cashless payment through to selecting and vending a hot drink, a customer using the No-Touch Sigma Café will never have to physically touch the machine itself.

Whilst some of our competitors have spent thousands of pounds and hours on developing ‘new’ no-touch vending technology, our No-Touch Sigma Café machine has had no-touch vending technology (Hover Select) available for the last few years.

The Sigma Café was developed to have a touch-sensitive button menu when the machine was launched in 2015. At the time, the market and customers were calling out for touch-sensitive technology. Back then, anything and everything was using touch technology. Thus, we moved with the zeitgeist, innovating with agility to add touch technology to the Sigma Café.

But, because of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, times have changed. The world has changed. People have changed. The vending industry has changed. And, so, requirements and demands of our machines have changed.

No-Touch Sigma Café

What is required now is no-touch vending solutions, to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Lucky for us, we were ahead of the game when we developed the Sigma Café’s touch-sensitive buttons five years ago. The technology was developed in such a way that allowed for the sensitivity of the ‘touch’ button menu to be increased.

As a result, our engineers have now increased the sensitivity of our ‘touch’ menu buttons significantly – so much so that the buttons don’t actually need to be physically touched at all! Now, all users need to do to make a selection is simply hover over the drink they want to select with their fingers (see the video below).

There’s a simple and seamless three-step process to our contact-free vending solution using the No-Touch Sigma Café:

  1. Make a payment (using the cashless payments system)
  2. Hover over a drink on the menu to select
  3. Hover over ‘Make My Drink’

Voilà! From cashless payment through to selecting and vending a hot drink, a user of the No-Touch Sigma Café will never have to physically touch the machine itself. In fact, the only physical contact the end-user will have is with the cup once the drink has been vended.
