The latest iteration of one of our bestselling bean-to-cup coffee machines, the Primo Touch, has been launched this week and is available for purchase now.
With its Barista-style drinks, coffee strength control, 7-inch touchscreen (with ample media advertisement opportunities) and easy cleaning function, the Primo Touch was already everything you need in a HoReCa coffee system – producing the perfect cup of coffee.
But, why stop there? What could we do to make the Primo Touch even better?
Now, one extra instant canister has been added to the all-new Primo Touch – increasing the number of canisters from three to FOUR. For you, this means more recipe combinations and a greater instant ingredient capacity, ultimately generating more cash and increasing profitability.

Award-Winning Design
With its distinctive, modern and deft design, it’s no surprise that the Primo Touch has been nominated for two prestigious awards in the last two years. The Primo Touch was awarded the iF Design Award in 2018, after a 63-member jury decided its design and premium finish deserved the accolade.
In total, almost 6,500 entries from 54 countries were submitted. The jury – made up of independent experts from all over the world – critiqued and evaluated each nominated product based on innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and responsibility.
Last year, the Primo Touch was also nominated for a prestigious German Design Award, alongside products from global brands like Siemens and Sonos. More awards are sure to follow later this year, with the latest iteration of the Touch’s innovative design.
NEW Primo Innovations
Like the Primo Touch, the Compact has also been nominated for – and won – a prestigious design award. Last year, the tabletop machine won a Red Dot Design Award in the Fully-Automatic Coffee Maker category, with the judges commending its “self-explanatory interface and many options for individualisation”, in particular.
We were already on a roll with the Primo Touch enhancements, so we quickly turned our attention to our bestselling tabletop coffee machine – the Primo Compact. Customers spoke, and we listened.
Instant Canister Extensions
One thing on the top of customers’ wish list for the Primo Compact was larger instant canisters, to increase maximum output. Westomatic’s engineering team set to work on developing an easy-to-fit solution: a steel housing and plastic canister extensions.
Now, you can DOUBLE the Primo Compact’s instant powdered ingredients capacity with our NEW Canister Extensions. Capacity increases from 600g to 1200g for Granulated Milk (85 drinks to 170 drinks), or from 800g to 1600g capacity for Chocolate (50 drinks to 100 drinks).
Easy to install in under 10 minutes, the Canister Extensions simply slide and lock into place inside the Primo Compact. The black steel housing for the canister extensions bolts on easily, with no drilling required! No power tools, no mess – all you’ll need is a Phillips screwdriver.
These Canister Extensions are also compatible with the Primo Touch.
External Water Reservoir
Aimed at small-to-medium-sized businesses and the HoReCa market, sometimes a connection into the main water supply is not available. In situations like this, the Primo Compact’s NEW External Water Reservoir can now be used.
Holding up to 8.2 litres, the External Water Reservoir is perfect for places where the Primo Compact can’t be plumbed into a mains water supply. As long as there is a power socket to plug the machine in, the Compact can be placed pretty much anywhere.
Key specifications of the External Water Reservoir include:
- 2 litre capacity (5.2 litres filtered)
- One Brita Maxtra+ filter included (change every 100 litres/4 weeks)
- Removable water reservoir (manual filling)
- Can be positioned on the left or right of the Primo Compact
- Dimensions (WxDxH): 230 x 420 x 455 mm
Both the Canister Extensions and External Water Reservoir join the Fridge Unit (for Fresh Milk), a Cup Warmer Stand, and Payment Module as optional extras for the Primo Compact.
Coming Soon: COVID-19 Software Update
NEW software for the Primo Compact & Touch models will soon be available. As part of the software update, users will be prompted to clean the 7″ screen before touching it. Cleaning kits can be purchased directly from us!
